Adrienne Engle Fairley, 91, of Boonville, died April 17, 2024, at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday April 24, at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 23 at the church. Holy Rosary will be at 5:15 p.m. preceding the visitation.
Adrienne was born March 23, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Adrian Engle and Catherine Lucille Ford Engle. She married Delbert Fairley on September 10, 1950 in Mexico, MO. They were married for 68 years until Delbert’s death in 2018. Adrienne and Delbert lived in San Antonio, Texas, and St. Louis, MO, before making their home in Boonville in 1967. Both were active members at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (Delbert joined in later years.) Adrienne was a lector, lay Communion minister, and long-time member of the Daughters of Isabella. She volunteered with Boy Scouts of America and was one of the first woman to receive the Silver Beaver Award from the Great Rivers Council of Boy Scouts of America.
Adrienne is survived by nine children: David (Linda) Fairley of St. Augustine, FL;, Michael (Joy) Fairley of Kansas City, MO; Kathy (Clark) Israel of Pleasant Valley, MO; Mark (Connie) Fairley of New Franklin; Matt (Vonnie) Fairley of Boonville; Teresa (Dave) Sapp of Bunceton; Rev. Tim (Lisa) Fairley of Franklin; Sarah (Daryl) Fehling of Sturgeon; and Sheila (Richard) Rainey of Boonville. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Boy Scouts of America Great Rivers Council or to the S.S. Peter and Paul Educational Fund.
