Gerald “Tom” McKinney, III, 66, of Boonville passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at his home.
Visitation for Tom will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday evening April 2 at Howard Funeral Home with a Celebration of life following at 7 P.M. with Deacon Dave Miller officiating.
Gerald Thomas McKinney, III was born November 2, 1957, in Jefferson City, MO., the son of Gerald Thomas McKinney, II and Carolyn Sue Cardwell. Tom married Debra Wolfe on April 3, 1982, in Jefferson City, MO. Tom was a true Body man when it came to doing body work on vehicles, he was very particular and perfectionist, he was the best auto mobile painter there was. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and BBQing, not just a couple of burgers and hotdogs but enough to feed the neighborhood. He enjoyed the Lake of the Ozarks and taught each grandchild how to swim.
Tom is preceded in death by his dad, Gerald Thomas the II. He is survived by his wife Debra of the home, Son, Gerald Thomas McKinney, IV and wife Chasedy of Dixon, MO., daughters, Jami Diane McKinney and Daphne Hillen of Boonville, MO., mother, Sue (Dave) Miller of Boonville, MO., brothers, Greg (Julie) McKinney of Tibbetts, MO., Court McKinney of Columbia, Collin McKinney of Boonville, MO., sister, Dianna Smart of New Bloomfield, MO., Gayle (Jason) Linneman of Blackwater, MO., Lisa (Jan) Miller of France, and Michelle (Brian) Fischer of St. Louis, MO. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Nolan and Connor McKinney, Haidyn Kennedy, Mabel Thompson, and Alana Robinson.
