James "Jim" F Persinger

James F. “Jim” Persinger, 77, of Boonville passed away Monday March 25, 2024, from cancer following a brief illness at Boone Health Center.

Services for Jim will be held Monday April 1, 2024, at Howard Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. with funeral services following at 2:00 P.M. with Ken Askren officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery

Jim was born September 15,1946 in Jefferson City, Mo. to J.D. and Jimmalee (Reed) Persinger. He was raised by his maternal grandparents James and Hazel Reed in Jefferson City. He graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1964 and from Lincoln University in 1968. He taught school for a few years at Jefferson City High School and New Brookfield High school. He then spent 30 years working for the State of Missouri as an Accountant in the department of Health, and then in the department of Administration.

Jim was preceded by his grandparents James and Hazel Reed, His birth parents Jimmalee and J.D. Persinger, his two brothers, William, and Frank and his only first cousin Earlene.

He is survived by his wife Theresa (Toddie) Potter Persinger of the home whom he married in 1999. His daughter Erica Eisenhower, of Overland, Mo, and his granddaughter. Taylor Kelley of Wright City, Mo. Also surviving is Stephen (Susan) Potter, Michael (Angie) Potter, Ann D. Johnson (Denny Sercu), Cole Potter and numerous nieces and nephews.
