Alan R. “Bob” Widel, 57, of Blackwater passed away surrounded by his family Tues. Feb. 6, 2018 at Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp, MO.
A visitation will be 4 to 7 P.M. Tues. Feb. 13 at Knights of Columbus Hall 1515 Radio Hill Road Boonville, MO. 65233. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:30 P.M. Private interment, no luncheon planned.
Alan Robert Widel was born June 6, 1960 in Columbia, MO, the son of Raymond Dwayne Widel and Mildred Vada Nation Widel. Bob was a graduate of Pilot Grove High School. He married Elizabeth Boyd December 26, 1987 in McKenzie, N.D. In 1980 Bob started dozing for customers and in time started and ran a successful bridge construction and dirt work business, Widel Inc. Above all Bob was a steady man of his faith. Bob was a farmer at heart, loved nature, and watching the sun rise and set. He cherished every day always seeing the best in others. Bob loved his family, he had a special relationship with each and every one.
Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Paige. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of the home, Son, Aron Widel of Blackwater, Daughters, Phoebe Ann (Bradley) Bergeson of Sedalia, MO., Sophie Grace Widel and Josie Vada Widel both of Blackwater. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Boyd Alan Wade and Vera Ann Bergeson of Sedalia, MO., his brothers, Ronnie Widel of Green Ridge and Randy (Nancy) Widel of Blackwater, sisters, Renita (Ron) Silvers, of Warrensburg, MO. and Sandy (Rick) Schibi of Sedalia, MO. and many nieces and nephews.
