Bernard L. "Benny" Whitehurse

Bernard L. “Benny” Whitehurse, 64, of Boonville passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thurs. Jan. 24, 2018.

Visitation for Benny will be 10 to 11 A.M. Sat. Jan. 27, 2018 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will follow the visitation at 11 A.M. with Fr. Bill Peckman officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Howard Funeral Home.

Bernard L. Whitehurse was born in Boonville, MO. the son of Eugene Lloyd Whitehurse and Catherine Wiemholt Whitehurse.  Benny worked all his life, including the Boben Heel Factory and Nordyne until it closed. He played bass guitar in a local band, enjoyed cooking, taking care of his yard, garden and his finches.

Benny is preceded in death by his father, Eugene, brothers, Eugene, Jr and Mark Whitehurse. He is survived by his mom, Catherine of Boonville, brother, Gary (Connie) Whitehurse of Boonville. His sisters; Phyllis (Gary) Monroe of Spring Hill, KS., Linda (Virgil) Brengarth of Wooldridge, MO., Gayle Whitehurse of Olathe, KS., Patty (Dean) Clayton of Fayette, MO., Teresa (Pete) Rhoades of Boonville, MO., and Anita (Mike) Flippin of Versailles, MO. Also surviving is his Godchild, Katie Monroe and numerous nieces and nephews.
