My Uncle Dan was and will always be "The Man". My Father ( James Piles) and I would go to Missouri on hunting trips from the time I was 7 or 8 years old. I loved staying at Dan and Norma's home. It was filled with so much love and history. I loved visiting his boat and going on shopping trips to get supplies with my Aunt. I loved sitting in their sun room just looking out over their property and thinking that when I got older, this was the kind of life I wanted to have. I have so many memories and just wish I could be there with our family.

Norma and family, I am so sorry for your loss.. Dan was truly 1 of a kind in so many ways. He was a very nice man who loved his family and friends. I will miss running into him at the post office. Heaven welcomes him with open arms. Please know that each of you are in my thought and prayers.
