Dorothy Louise (Burks) Bell

Dorothy L. Bell, 91, of Boonville entered the Church Triumphant on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Visitation for Dorothy will be 12 to 1 P.M. on Saturday, April 21 at Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church. Celebration of Dorothy’s life will follow at 1 P.M. with Pastor Nick Campbell officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Howard Funeral Home.

Dorothy Louise Bell was born August 6, 1926 in Boonville, MO., the daughter of Albert Burks and Brooksie Morrow Burks. She was baptized and became a member of Nelson Memorial in 1940, and graduated Boonville High School in 1945. She married Jack Bell on August 1, 1998. Dorothy was employed by Boben Manufacturing. She was active in the Boonville Woman’s Club, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Women.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jack of the Home; her son, Michael (Nancy) Straub; her grandson, Sean (Dee) Straub, her great-granddaughter, Shannon Glass; her great-great grandchildren, Aiden and Logan; her extended Bell family, her nieces; and her many friends at church and in the community.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church.
