Gregory "Greg" Lee Sorrell, 71 of New Franklin, passed away on Sunday, January 14th 2018 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Celebration of Greg’s life will be held at Howard Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18th from 6 to 8 P.M.
Greg was born May 1, 1946 in Boonville, Mo to Jacqueline Jayne Sorrell.
Greg drove trucks for Potter's Trucking, then worked for maintenance at Kemper Military School and at Boonville R1 School District, where he retired as Director of Maintenance. After retirement, you could find him at Gaps talking fishing or driving for Rick Ball Chevrolet and WK Ford, which he enjoyed.
Greg loved to be with his family, friends, and doing odds and ends, but his biggest love was being outdoors. He loved hunting, looking for arrow heads, and mushrooms. His greatest enjoyment was being out on the water in his boat with family and friends, looking for the big one.
He leaves behind his wife Candy of the home, brothers Bruce Sorrell and Randy Sorrell. Sons Lynn Jensen, Greg (Catherine) Sorrell Jr., David (Phyllis) Gregory, and Dakota Sorrell. Daughters Denise Spencer and Brenda (Larry) Cook, and grandchildren. Along with several very dear friends.
