James "Jim" Archie Graves

James “Jim” Graves, 84, of Boonville, passed away Thurs. evening Jan. 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Visitation for Jim will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tues. Jan. 9 at Howard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lewistown City Cemetery in Lewistown, MO.

James Archie Graves was born Dec. 27, 1934 in Lewistown, MO. the son of Archie Eugene Graves and Iola Drescher Graves. Jim married June Schnellbacher in June of 1955 in Lewistown, MO. Jim worked for Ed Masters at Mass-Moore trucking in Columbia most of his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time away from the road. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with them any chance he could.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Iola. He is survived by his daughters; Virginia (Willy) Perkins of Boonville, MO., Twila (Howard) Turner of Glasgow, MO., and Valerie Graves of Boonville, MO. He will be missed by his grandson, Christopher James Graves of Glasgow, MO. and his five great-grandchildren.
