Joanne (Witherspoon) Ivy

Joanne Ivy, 78, of Boonville passed away peacefully Sat. Feb. 17, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Visitation for Joanne will be 6 to 8 P.M. Tues. Feb. 20 at Howard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wed. Feb. 21 at Howard Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John’s Cemetery in Billingsville.

Joanne Ivy was born July 7, 1939 in Boonville, MO. the daughter of Harry Witherspoon and Flossie Creasman Witherspoon. She graduated Boonville High School in 1957. She married Robert Lee Ivy, Sr. May 2,  1959 at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in New Franklin. Joanne worked for over 20 years for McGraw Edison-Toastmasters and eventually retired from Nordyne. Joanne loved to travel to the Dakotas and Branson with her sister. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She loved her family and loved spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Flossie, husband, Robert Lee Ivy Sr., brother, Jr. Witherspoon and sister, Mary Miers. She is survived by her children, Donnie (Monica) Ivy, Bobby Ivy, Jr., Brenda (Chris) Snoddy and Jackie (Dennis) Sapp all of Boonville. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Jason, Matt (Casey), Christa, Landon (Allie) and Kayla (Shane), and great-grandchildren, Kielann, Alivia, Coltor, Ada and one on the way. She also leaves behind her close friends, Connie Kempf, Vickie Pennington and Betty Golden.
