Larry Dale Coates

Larry Dale Coates, 62, of New Franklin, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 surrounded by his family at Boone Hospital Center.

Friends will be received from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, Missouri. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will follow.

Larry was born November 27, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Bud Coates and Joann McBain Coates On March 19, 1976, Larry was united in marriage in Rocheport, Missouri, to Donna Holman, who survives in their home. He worked for 3M for 22 years and Chuck Turner Painting for 12 years.

Larry loved fishing, camping, arrowhead hunting and gardening. He loved vacationing in Florida and most of all, spending time with his family.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike Coates and sister, Debbie Conrow. Along with his wife of 42 years, Donna, he is survived by two daughters: Melissa (Rodney) Anderton of New Franklin, and Aaron (Chris)Baker of Millersburg; brother Sammy Coates of Rocheport, Missouri; grandchildren: Mathew (Averi) Anderton of Temple City, California, Kaleb Anderton of New Franklin, Braeden Baker, Levi, Laythan and Kaylee Slate all of Millersburg. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Max Slate-Baker.

Memorial contribution are suggested to the Missouri Cancer Associates in Columbia, MO.
