Lawrence “Larry” Twenter, 71, of Boonville passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at University Hospital in Columbia.
Visitation for Larry will be 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday, Jan. 7 at Howard Funeral Home with a prayer service starting at 4:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 A.M. Monday, Jan. 8th at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Peckman officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pilot Grove.
Lawrence Eugene Twenter was born July 11, 1946 in Boonville, MO. the son of Leonard Twenter and Bertha Hodges Twenter. Larry married Marty Rentel on Dec. 31, 1983 in Pilot Grove, MO. Larry spent 52 years doing what he loved, being a truck driver. After trying retirement, Larry decided it wasn’t suitable for him and re-joined the work force with Bruce Twenter Trucking where he spent the eight most rewarding year of his life. He was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Clear Creek Knights of Columbus.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Bertha. He is survived by his wife, Marty of the home, Sons; Patrick (Holly) Twenter, Keith (Theresa) Day, Kyle (Kathy) Day all of Boonville, MO. and Brad (Lisa) Day of O’Fallon, MO. and his daughter, Lynn Harvey of Prairie Home, MO. He also leaves behind his brother, Ray “Skeeter” (Mary Ellen) Twenter of Boonville, MO., sisters; Barb (Larry) Schupp of Pilot Grove, MO. and Carolyn (Lyle) Aggler of Clifton City, MO. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Trevor, Marissa, Andrew and Austin Day, Emily Harvey, Brendan, Ashlyn and Chandler Twenter, Kayla, Mackenzie, Camielle, Grace Day.
