Bud Jones, 32, of Boonville, Mo passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December
15, 2018 while officiating as a referee at a basketball game in Warrensburg, Mo.
A Memorial Service for Bud will be held at Boonville High School, 1690 W. Ashley
Road, Boonville, MO on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. There will be
no visitation. Bud’s request, at an early age, was to have his body donated to science.
Bud was born September 12, 1986 in Columbia, MO to Lester and Desiree Jones, a
“miracle surprise” to his parents. He graduated from Boonville High School in 2005.
Bud was certified through Missouri State High School Activities Association as a referee
and an umpire, his passion in life.
He loved softball, basketball, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball.
Bud believed the world needed changing and he believed fully in the human race.
Bud is survived by his parents, Lester and Desiree of Boonville, his brothers Darius
Hayes and Corey Jones, and his brother in friendship Jonathan Klusmeyer, sister
Nicole Carter, his loving Grandparents Mary and Clifford Lewis of Boonville and Sena
Jones of Columbia, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephew and a
Bud and his Grandma Mary took “special trips”, to appointments, eating out, or just
driving around. Whenever Grandma was “puzzled, Bud came to my rescue!”
