Lois Jane Spurling, 67, of Bunceton passed away Thursday March 14, 2019 at Boone Hospital Center.
Family held a private graveside service with military honors on Saturday March 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
Lois J. Spurling was born July 12, 1951 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Howard Franklin Lutz and Mary Elizabeth Thompson Lutz. She married the love of her life William Spurling on September 5, 1981. She was an amazing poet and had a love for reading. Lois worked with the handicap and loved her job, she never met a stranger. She also spoke sign language so she was able to communicate with many people. She loved to spend time in nature and all it offered, birds, plants, any animal and camping. She loved all of this but most of all she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she enjoyed the time she got to spend with them and watching them grow up.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents Howard Franklin Lutz and Mary Elizabeth Thompson Lutz, husband William Spurling, brothers Howard Gene and James Franklin, sister Beverley James, sister-in-law Nancy Lutz, and daughter Mary Lucy Wilson. She is survived by her daughter Michelle (Robin) Hein of Bunceton, bothers Frank (Judy) Lutz, Randy Lutz, Jeffery (Rita) Lutz, David (Marjorie) Lutz, sisters Connie (Terry) Creason, Rhonda (Charles) Schumann, grandchildren Zachary (Linzie) Hein, Jacob (Ciara) Hein, Britni (Tanner) Wilson, and Mark Roberts, great-grandchildren, Malena, Lyla, Jaxson, Oakley, and William Hein, and numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great- nephews.
