Robert Joseph (Bobby Joe) Foster, 87, of Bunceton passed away Monday March 19, 2018 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville, MO.
Visitation for Bobby Joe will be Friday March 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, March 24 at the First Baptist Church of Bunceton family will receive friends from 1 until service time. Burial will follow in the Bunceton Masonic Cemetery.
Bobby Joe was born February 5, 1931 in Boonville the son of Ava Jay and Eulala Dell Bond Foster. He moved to the Bunceton area at the young age of 9 and graduated Bunceton High School. Bobby Joe served in the Korean War with a Corporal rank. Upon returning from Korea he married Dolores Langkop on June 17, 1956 at the First Baptist Church of Bunceton. He took up farming and his passion in life were his cattle. Bobby Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunceton and a 4-H leader in his spare time. He drove the Bunceton School Bus for 37 years and the students were his second family.
Bobby Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Marvin, Leroy, Dave, Freddy, L.J and Jim, sisters, Gertrude, Virginia, Alma May and Barb, son-in-law, Jay and granddaughter, Lindy. He is survived by his wife, Dolores of the home, children, Eddie Jay (Brenda), Alan Joe (Sonya) and Jeana Jill (Doug). Also surviving is a sister, Dorotha, grandchildren, Ryan (Allison), Wyatt, Riley, Kasey (Jeremy), Reyd, Ashley, Lindsey and Jayme (Tyler), great grandchildren, Peyton, Reagan, Raylee, Finley, Grace, Lane, Ty, Lainey, Jay Jr. and Lexi.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bunceton Community Betterment Association or the Bunceton Alumni Scholarship Fund.
