Ruby E. Rieves, 81, of Boonville passed away Monday April 30, 2018 at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville.
Visitation for Ruby will be 5 to 8 P.M. Friday evening May 4 at Howard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday May 5 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Ruby Edwina Frieling Rieves was born on October 5, 1936 in rural Boonville, MO. The daughter of Martin John Frieling and Iva Grace Bail Frieling. Ruby graduated from Concord Grade School and from Boonville High School in 1954. Ruby was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Boonville, MO. Ruby married William “Bill” Donald Rieves on May 6, 1955 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Boonville, MO. Ruby relocated with Bill to several states when was in the Army. They returned to Boonville where Ruby was employed at Boben Manufacturing for 29 years, Toastmaster and then Unlimited Opportunities all of Boonville for over 20 some years before retiring. Ruby loved to spend time with family and friends, dancing Saturday evenings with her husband Bill, adoring her pets and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Iva, husband William, sisters, Midge Miller and Luetta Johnson Brown, brothers-in-law, Albert Johnson, Ellsworth Brown, Robert Miller and Kenny Dodson. She is survived by her sister, Viola Dodson of New Franklin, MO., brother Charles (Shirley) Frieling of Jamestown, MO., and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
