Signe Mae Rokosky, 91, of Boonville, MO died April 1, 2018 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Friday, April 6 at the First Baptist Church, Boonville with Rev. Scott Paris officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 at the First Baptist Church until time of the service.
Mrs. Rokosky was born the daughter of Thomas P. Craig and Alice Schuler Craig on September 14, 1926, at Miami, MO. She moved to Boonville a few years later and spent her entire life in Boonville attending schools there. She attended college at Central Methodist College, Fayette, MO. She married Anthony J. Rokosky on Aug. 5, 1953. He was killed the last day of the Korean War in 1955. She was employed as a Civil Service Secretary by the U. S. Army assigned to the JS Army ROTC Instructor Group at Kemper Military School and College for 37 years. She retired Aug. 1, 1986. She was a 53-year member of the OES Chapter 419, Boonville, MO, a life-time member at First Baptist Church, Boonville, MO, a member of the L.L.L. Sunday School Class, a member of the Fabric Fanatics Quilt Club, and the Class of 1944 Club. She enjoyed traveling, making quilts, and attending the activities of her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews – Stephanie (Edward) Muri, Jamestown, Lora Sedgwick, Sara Schafer, and John Muri; Michael (Becky) Pfeiffer; Allen, Texas, and Richard Pfeiffer (Diane Backs), Boonville, Brock Pfeiffer, Bethany Pfeiffer and Bailey Pfeiffer. She also has 3 great-great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and sisters, Mary Alice Pfeiffer and Doreen E. White.
