Welcome to the memorial page for

William Carl "Bill" Triebsch

September 24, 1936 ~ November 10, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old

William “Bill” Carl Triebsch, 81, of Boonville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Riverdell Care Center, surrounded by the ones he loved, lived for, and laughed with, on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017.

Born in Marshall, Missouri on Sept. 24, 1936, Bill was the son of Theodore “Ted” Joseph Triebsch and Mary Clara (Hackman) Triebsch.  He grew up on the family farm in Nelson, Missouri.  Shortly after graduating from high school, Bill went to work for McGraw-Edison in Boonville where he met Shirley Jean Vaughn.  Six months later, on Dec. 29, 1956, they were married at Martinsville Catholic Church.  He soon started selling cars and eventually purchased Stanfield Chrysler Plymouth.  The auto business was his passion and he gained the trust and respect of thousands of customers over the years.  He finished his career earlier this year working for Schlotzhauer Auto in Boonville.

Bill was a devout Catholic and very active in his church as well as with the Knights of Columbus, in which he was a Fourth Degree member.  He was also the best husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle to his family. When he wasn’t identifying the year, make and model of every vehicle on the road, you could find him playing cards late into the evening with family and friends.  He thoroughly enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting and fishing whenever he had free time.  After catching all those fish, Bill was known to throw a heck of a fish fry.

His parents, his wife of 52 years, Shirley, and brother, Ted Triebsch II, precede Bill in death.  He is survived by his loving companion of eight years Mary Beth Webster, two sons, William Kevin (Christine) Triebsch of Marietta, Georgia and Gregory Paul (Mary) Triebsch of Pilot Grove, Missouri, and daughter, Dee Ann Triebsch (Greg) Sims of St. Mary, Missouri.  Also, brothers Don Triebsch of New Franklin, Missouri and Lloyd Triebsch of Murrieta, California; sisters Mary Nall of Marion, Illinois, Ruth Ulmer of Nelson, Missouri, and Betty Wilson of Blackwater, Missouri. He adored his grandchildren, Michele, Zachary, Colin, Ethan and Stella; and great-grandchildren Audrey, Penelope, Phoenix and William.

Visitation will be held at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, Nov. 13th, with the rosary being recited at 5:30.  The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, with burial immediately following at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the American Kidney Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
