Alice Templemire Obituary

Alice Mae Templemire, 80, of Boonville passed away January 5, 2021 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Visitation for Alice will be 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday January 8, 2021 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Celebration of Life Mass will be at 2:00 P.M. with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.  Due to COVID 19 pandemic the family is requesting that everyone please wear their masks and follow social distancing guidelines.

Alice Mae Templemire was born March 22, 1940 the daughter of Richard Lammers and Florence (Schuster) Lammers.  Alice graduated from Pilot Grove High School.  Alice then married the love of her life Phillip Templemire on June 7, 1958 in Pilot Grove. Alice had many jobs through the years.  She was employed at the Boonville Daily News, Bowling Alley, Shoe Factory, Boats’ Place, Kemper School Restaurant, the Hallway Club, and the Eagles Lodge for 21 years. She enjoyed the friends she made at the Eagles Lodge and was respected and liked by many. Alice enjoyed cooking and making Christmas Cookies with her grandkids every year from a young age until they were in their 30s.  All Holidays were Alice's favorite, enjoying the decorating, cooking, and spending time with her family.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, caring for her flowers and house plants with her green thumb.  Alice never failed to have a good joke so she could share a laugh with a friend or family member.  

Alice was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Florence Lammers, brothers Kenneth and Richard Lammers, sister- in- law Carol Rae Lammers and brother in-law Delphinus Kraus. She is survived by her husband Phillip Templemire of Boonville, sons Ronald (Susan) Templemire of Boonville, Richard (Marge) Templemire of Pilot Grove, brothers Clarence Lammers and David (Nancy) Lammers, sisters-in-laws Joan and Barbara Lammers, sisters Jeanette (Henry) Stegner and Thelma Kraus, grandchildren Aaron (Kalyn) Templemire, Adam (Brandy) Templemire, Ashley Templemire (Ella Decker), Callie Templemire, and Kenny Fredenburg, great grandchildren Jaxson, Jagger, Audriauna and Lucy Alice.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many loving family members including Phillip's sisters.
