Audrey Nadine (Oerly) Lenger

Audrey Nadine (Oerly) Lenger, 100, of Boonville passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, July 22, 2021.

Visitation for Audrey will be at Howard Funeral Home Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Gander officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Audrey Nadine Lenger was born March 16, 1921, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Miller) Oerly. Audrey graduated from Prairie Home High School in 1939. She married Paul Lenger on December 2, 1939, at Pleasant Grove Lutheran Parsonage in Wooldridge, MO. Audrey enjoyed working outside, she loved gardening and mowing grass; she mowed her own grass as long as she could. Audrey was famous for her angel food cake; it was so good everyone was fighting for a piece. Audrey enjoyed spending time with family and would always make sure that each person had a cake made by her for their birthday. Audrey had a way with words and loved to tell stories. She loved her family the most and spoiling the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved and will be so dearly missed.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul Lenger, infant granddaughter, sons Gerald Norbert Lenger and Earl Lenger, and sister Maxine (Alvin) Lenger. She is survived by her daughter Janet (Bobby) Baker of Boonville, grandchildren Dion (Nancy) Baker of Boonville, Gina (Steve) Timm of Boonville, Aaron (Katrina) Baker of Harrisburg, and Brian Lenger of Boonville. She also leaves behind great grandchildren Austin Timm, Courtney Timm, Renee Baker, Ryan Baker, Livia Baker, Analise, Madilynn and Josephine Lenger, Elizabeth (Gemini) Heisserer, Cole (Courtney) Heiland, great- great grandchildren Hunter Heisserer, Ryder and Bentley Heiland and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Pleasant Grove Lutheran Cemetery or Charity of Choice.
