Buck “Bud” Williamson, Jr., 91, of Boonville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove, MO.

Services for Bud will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Buck “Bud” Williamson, Jr., was born April 10, 1930, in Grand Saline, Texas, the son of Buck Williamson and Lillian Beanto Partain Williamson. Bud married Wanda Craighead of Boonville on September 25, 1954, in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Bud served in the United States Army from 1948 – 1952 at the rank of Corporal. His unit was comprised of elements of General George Patton’s infamous Third Army. Bud was proud of his service and that he was part of the constabulary that aided in keeping peace in Germany.

Bud worked construction most of his life, including being on the crew that built the Missouri River Bridge at Rocheport, MO. He later worked for John Epple Construction Company for many years. Bud retired from the University of Missouri after 18 years, letting his touch on many buildings there.

In addition to being an accomplished construction worker, fence builder, and mechanic, Bud enjoyed many things in life – fishing, camping, and boating at Lake of the Ozarks. Bud was a skilled poker player, always ready for a game and teaching each of his grandchildren to play.

Bud was most proud of his family. He was always ready to take on any adventure his son, Clark, or his four grandchildren thought up.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Neva Davis. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of the home, his son, Clark Williamson (Nancy) of Boonville, and four grandchildren, Clayton, Aubrey, Jordyn, and Jocelyn, all of Boonville. They were the light of his life. Bud is also survived by his brother, J. R. Williamson of Stockon, MO, and nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Evangelical United Church of Christ of Boonville.
