Christy Ann Craig

Christy Ann Craig, 59, of Boonville passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Visitation for Christy will be held at Howard Funeral Home Friday, August 11, 2023, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Dave Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Christy Ann Craig was born July 19, 1964, in Boonville, MO., the daughter of William Russell Craig and Geraldine Eliza (Scantlin) Walker.  Christy was a sweet and caring person.  She greeted everyone with a smile, she loved everyone and told them daily, she gave the best hugs.  Christy had a loud contagious laugh that would make anyone feel better if they were having a bad day.  Christy loved to color, she loved to watch Disney movies, and Frozen was her favorite.  Her days were not complete without a Pepsi and maybe a 3 musketeer’s candy bar.  If she could, she would have had McDonald’s daily.  Christy’s most cherished people were her family, she spoke of her mom and dad often but she talked about her sister Cheryl every day.  Christy’s hugs and “I love you’s” will be missed, “We love you too”! 

Christy was preceded in death by her father William Craig, mother Geraldine Walker, stepfather Dale Walker, and half brothers William and George Craig. She is survived by her sister Cheryl (Mike) Koonse, half sisters Patricia Price and Virginia Simmons, nephews Tyler and Brandon Koonse and niece Rachel Koonse. She also leaves behind all her extended family from Unlimited Opportunities.
