Despina "Debbie" (Afentoulis) Kardon

Despina “Debbie” Kardon, age 77, of Boonville passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation for Debbie will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Howard-Millard Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. 

Memorials are suggested to Second Chance Animal Rescue in Boonville, Missouri.

She was born in Veria, Greece on October 26, 1947, the daughter of John and Lemonia Afentoulis. She married the love of her life, Theodore “Ted” Kardon on May 26, 1968, in Veria, Greece. She and Ted were the owners of The Palace Restaurant in Boonville then they opened the restaurant supply store. 

Debbie loved cooking and spending time with her family. Her passions in life were “Gardening and Grandkids!”

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 54 years, Ted Kardon. 

She will be missed by her sons Pete Kardon of Boonville, John (Kelly) Kardon of Lenexa, Kansas; brother Bobby Afentoulis; and grandchildren: Michael (Cheyenne) Kardon, Alexander Kardon, and Christopher Kardon.
