“Dot” worked in several healthcare facilities over the years and retired from Dr. John Ward’s office after fifteen years of service.  She and “Dub” bought a lakeside retirement home where they spent many happy years enjoying the outdoors, gardening, and fishing.  Dot was known for her cooking especially her famous fried chicken.  She loved playing golf, had several holes in one and was her club champion eight times.  She was also an excellent bowler.

She is survived by her husband, Dub Farris, her children, Art Farris (Becky), Springfield, MO, Patricia Amstutz (Stan), Winter Haven, Florida and Linda Farris, Boonville, two granddaughters, Stephanie Young (John), Overland Park, KS and Lynley Farris, Baton Rouge, LA, her sisters, Betty Farris (Don) and Odie Farris and a large extended family.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Gladys Anderson and her brother, Harry Prewitt.
