Ernest "Ernie" Francis Pratt

Ernest “Ernie” Francis Pratt, 72, of New Franklin passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 6, 2023, in Boonville.

A visitation for Ernie will be held at Howard Funeral Home Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.

Ernest Francis Pratt was born February 28, 1951, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, the son of Lewis and Elizabeth (Bolander) Pratt. He graduated from New Franklin Highschool in 1969. Ernie married the love of his life Nancy Lee Schwartz February 13, 1971, in Pendleton, Missouri, she preceded him in death April 27, 2017. Ernie worked at Cooper County Memorial Hospital for 20 plus years after that he went to work at Days Inn. He then worked retired from the Isle of Capri in Boonville. Ernie was a simple man but would do anything for you. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Elizabeth Pratt, wife Nancy Pratt, and brother Charles Pratt. He is survived by his son Kevin Pratt of Columbia, daughter Kelly Pratt of Tipton, brothers Roger (Cyndi) Pratt, Dennis (Sharon) Pratt, and Val (Amy) Pratt and sister Lori Pratt. He also leaves behind grandchildren Destiney Vonderahe (Mike Boggs), Shane Vonderahe, Hunter Schmitz, and Morgan, great grandchildren Damien, Sylvia, and one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
