Galen Willard Winningham, age 81, of Boonville, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Friends and family will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Howard Funeral Home, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Galen was born on August 30, 1943, in Lexington, Missouri, the son of Winford and Leatha (Shipman) Winningham. He was educated in Boonville public schools, graduating with the class of 1961. On September 28, 1963, he married Donna Caldwell, who survives of the home.
He was employed at McGraw-Edison in Boonville for 7 years, Sealtest for 5 years and was a driver for UPS for 30 years with a spotless record. He also farmed his entire life.
Galen enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool (he was a very good stick) and taking care of his farms. He attended all of the sporting events of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved watching sports on TV, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, when he wasn’t able to get out.
Along with his wife Donna, he is also survived by two granddaughters, Katie Wooldridge (Brad) of Boonville, Jordan Winningham of Boonville; two great grandchildren, Kennedy and Cooper Wooldridge; sister Linda Smith (Jim) of La Plata.
He was preceded in death by his parents Winford and Leatha Winningham; two sons: Mike and Mark Winningham; siblings: Charles Winningham, Donnie Winningham, Irene Markel, and Darrell Winningham.
