Gloria Faye (Eichelberger) Davis

Mrs. Gloria Faye Davis, age 85 of Kirksville, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 26th, 2023.

Gloria was born August 21st, 1937, to Edward Marvin Eichelberger and Helen Virginia (Widel) Lammers. She married Floyd Richard Davis on December 20th, 1959. Gloria devoted her time as a homemaker, Riverboat Captain, and farmer’s wife. She worked as a cook at Prairie Home Schools for ten years and later retired from Indeeco Industrial Engineering and Equipment Company. She moved to Kirksville in 2012 to be close to her granddaughters.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother John Marvin Eichelberger, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Eichelberger.

Gloria is survived by her two sons: Richard Glenn Davis (Kim) of Boone, NC and Chad Quinn Davis (Meredith) of Kirksville, MO; one grandson: Richard Brandon Davis; two granddaughters: Logan Faye Davis and Morgan Sue Davis; three step-grandchildren: Seth Triplett (Kelly), Shane Triplett (Keana), and Hannah Sprinkmann (Erik); five step-great grandchildren; one sister: Christine Page Foster; one sister in law: Gertrude Gibbs; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Janet Hurd.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at Howard Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M. and the service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Glenn Davis will officiate, and a private burial will follow.
