Harold William Schnetzler was born May 15, 1930 the son of Ernest William Schnetzler and Lydia Alice (Draper) Schnetzler. Harold married the love of his life Daisy Alwina Schnetzler on August 13, 1950. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War as a cook. Harold was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Boonville. Harold managed Temple Stephens Grocery, and then the proud owner and operator of Schnetzler’s IGA and Schnetzler Enterprise for a combined 37 years in the grocery business. He enjoyed farming on the side, gardening, and picking pecans. Harold was quite the food connoisseur, he especially loved donuts. He would go to every family dinner, he enjoyed spending time with them but also enjoyed all of the food. Harold was a cat person; he loved his cats; he even had one at Katy Manor that he would play with. Harold had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could. He enjoyed helping the church with the landscaping maintenance and making sure everything looked good. Harold was the best, most supportive grandpa, he would make sure he was at every sporting and school events his grandchildren had no matter the sport or how far he had to drive. He enjoyed watching the kids grow and do what they loved. In 2015 Harold was selected to go on the Mid- Missouri Honor Flight, he was so excited to go and was proud to serve. Harold will be so dearly missed.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife Daisy, son Harold “Hal” Schnetzler Jr., brother Ralph Schnetzler, and two infant granddaughters Lydia Katheryn and Hilary Jean. He is survived by his son Bobby (Karen) Schnetzler of Boonville, daughter- in-law Diane Schnetzler of Bartlett, Tennessee, grandchildren Ashley Schnetzler, Andrea Schnetzler (Darrell Tindal), Amy (Sean) Campbell, Adam (Trish) Schnetzler, Jared Schnetzler, Tanner (Jamie) Schnetzler, and Taylor Schnetzler, step grandchildren Pamela and Emily Klusmeyer, and Matthew (Ashley) Klusmeyer. He also leaves behind great grandchildren Ryan (Amber) Wright, Cody, Brandon, Jett, Jalyn, and Alexis Schnetzler, and Elizabeth Whoolbright, and step great grandchildren Dominic, Evelyn, and Elijah Klusmeyer.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, or the Mid- Missouri Honor Flight.
