Harry C. Stone, 88, of Boonville passed away Monday September 10, 2018 at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO. surrounded by his family.
Per Harry’s wishes he was cremated, and burial will be at a later date.
Harry Chesley Stone was born July 11, 1930 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Wilmer Franklin Stone and Beulah Quay Petty Stone. He married Hazel Evelyn Rothenberger on June 12, 1952 in Sedalia, MO. Harry served his country in the US Air Force. In his spare time, he loved to fish, watch the news and collect coins. Members of the community remember Harry and family as the owners of Stone’s Drive-in and Paradise Donuts.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hazel Stone, daughter, Jackwlyn Fangman, Sisters, Hazel Robinette and Peggy White, grandchildren, Timothy and Jesse Paul Fangman. He is survived by his daughter, Jonet (Alton) Lewis of Boonville, MO., sister, Wilma Pummill of Sedalia, MO. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, David (Kristi) Stephens, III, Shawna (Nelson) Burnett, James Lewis, and Jackie (Zack) Lewis. Also surviving are his great-grandchildren, Stephen Lewis, Lauren (Eric) Straatman, Shelby Stephens, Jordan Lewis, Hunter Stephens, Julia Lewis and Gunner Lewis.
