James Alvin Imhoff, 89 3/4, of Boonville, MO passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Visitation for James will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Friday, January 14, 2022, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mark Smith officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 9:15 a.m. before the visitation. There will be a private family burial. The family respectively ask everyone to wear a mask.
James was born April 20, 1932, in Pilot Grove, MO, the son of Leo and Isabel (Smith) Imhoff. On June 15, 1957, he married the love of his life Clara Mae Hurt in Boonville and with this union came 5 children, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. James worked for the Boonville Correctional Center until his retirement. He was a farmer, a 4th degree knight of the Boonville Knights of Columbus Council 1061. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
James is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Nathan Larm, two brothers Albert and Robert and one sister Martha Gundy. He is survived by his wife Clara Mae Imhoff of the home, children Rick (Angela) Imhoff of Canton, IL, Cindy (Tom) Imhoff Larm, Tim and Jim Imhoff all of Boonville and Mindy (Terry Schler) Imhoff of Columbia. Also surviving are grandchildren Anna Imhoff, Danielle (Simon) Imhoff Mahan, Tom (Megan) Larm and Tiffany Larm, great grandchildren Jonah and Felix Mahan, Maggie, Mary and T.J. Larm, brother Leonard (Nene) Imhoff, sisters Pearl (Roy) Holliday, Doris (Robert) Stoecklein and Bertha Johnston.
