Janie Lou Ginter, 73, of Boonville passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Visitation for Janie will be held at Howard Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. Thursday August 27, 2020. Graveside service will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery with Father Bill Peckman officiating.
Janie Lou Ginter was born September 16, 1946 the daughter of Samuel Oscar Brown and Burdia Jane Kerley. Janie married Earl Ginter on April 4, 1981 in Boonville. Janie enjoyed listening to music and gardening; she especially loved to grow flowers. Janie loved to cook, and she was good at it, everyone loved to eat Janie’s cooking. Janie spent most her time with her family, she loved watching them grow and loved to hang out with her best bud little Janie. Janie was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
Janie is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Burdia Brown, husband Earl Ginter, brothers Bobby Page, James Edward, John Thomas, Vernard LeRoy, and Norman Wayne Brown, and sister Carolyn Adams. She is survived by her children Jimi (Craig) Bartlett of Raytown, Jayna (Matthew) Friedrich of Boonville, Melisa (Terry) Gentry of Boonville, Michael (JoAnna) Johnson of Independence, Lana Johnson of Columbia, Joe (Lee Ellen) Ginter of Moberly, Roger Ginter of Boonville, and Carl Ginter of Boonville, brothers William Brown of Hallsville, and Denney Brown, sisters Marsue Crews of Midway and Darlen Cuppy of Bevier, 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
