Jessi Mechelle Wells

Jessi M. Wells, 35, of Gravois Mills, MO. formerly from Bunceton, MO. passed away June 20, 2018 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident

 A celebration of Jessi’s life will be 5 to 8 P.M. Monday evening June 25 at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, MO.

Jessi Mechelle Wells was born August 22, 1982 in Fayette, MO, the daughter of Dewey Wells and Teresa Britton. Jessi was a well-known and respected substitute teacher in the Boonslick area schools. She loved kids, and nothing put a smile on her face than knowing she made a difference in their lives. Jessi was currently working at Morgan County R-1 schools, their motto is: “The Bulldog Way. Striving for the Best, We Rise Above the Rest”.  This motto fit Jessi perfectly. Jessi was known as the “planner and organizer” for her family, she was OCD and things were clean and neatly in their places. You could find her window shopping, road tripping or hiking in her spare time. Most of all she loved her family.

Jessi is preceded in death by a brother, Adam Wells and sister, Rebecca Wells, her father, Dewey Wells, and Grandfather Al Morgan. She is survived by her, mother, Teresa (Todd) Bell of Bunceton, daughter, Alyssa Welch of Gravois Mills, MO., Soulmate, Lance Chapman of Gravois Mills, MO., Grandma, Violet Britton of Bunceton, MO., Brothers, Justin and Jason Wells, Kyler Tucker, and Damion Amidon. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and students she has touched.
