Jill Marie Stafford, 77, of Boonville passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at University Hospital in Columbia.
Visitation for Jill will be held at Howard Funeral Home Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. A celebration of life will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Jill Marie Stafford was born November 28, 1944, in Seymour, Indiana the daughter of William Lee Sr. and Mildred Lorene (Vaughn) Shattuck. Jill married James A. Stafford in St. Louis on January 7, 1967. Jill was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a reliable, loyal, and independent person. She would paint her house, fix the deck, or even check the roof although she knew she shouldn’t on her own. Jill enjoyed gardening, painting, playing the recorder, organ, auto harp, sewing, knitting, cooking, and participating in the Civil War reenactments. She was an animal lover. Jill was a sweet, generous, beautiful human and if you were down on your luck she would in any way. Jill was classy, she always went the extra mile with her jewelry making sure it dazzled. Her love to conversate created new friendships, she will be so dearly missed.
Jill is preceded in death by her parents William and Mildred Shattuck, husband James A. Stafford, brother William “Bill” Stafford Jr. and sister Nancy Kaye Shattuck. She is survived by her son Seann (Shelley) Stafford of Cottage Grove, OR, daughter Erin (Mike) Sinoway of Salt Lake City, UT, half sister Margaret Oliver of Avondale, CO and grandchildren Eion Thomas and Finley James Stafford.
