Betty Joan (Kueckelhan) Booker, 92, of Boonville passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Katy Manor Care Center in Pilot Grove.
Celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a later date.
Betty Joan Booker was born August 19, 1929 the daughter of Robert and Ruth (McMahn) Kueckelhan. She married the love of her life Vernon Booker December 1, 1950 at the Presbyterian Church in Boonville. Joan was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell until her retirement. She was a member of the MNO sewing club and the Order of Eastern Star. Joan enjoyed quilting, gardening, playing cards, and camping. She also had a love of cars. Joan’s favorite time was spent with family, she especially enjoyed cooking for all of them. Joan was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ruth Kueckelhan, brothers Phillip, Roger and Robert Kueckelhan, sisters Katharine Alexander and Cammie Kueckelhan. She is survived by her husband Vernon Booker of the home, sons David (Terry) Booker, and Monte Booker, daughters Betty Booker and Tawnya (Clay) Hollon, and brother Raymond (Roberta) Kueckelhan. She also leaves behind grandchildren Kelly (David) Brush, Camie (Corey) Turner, Leslie (Ernie) Phillips, Cassandra Redman, Jon Booker, Hallie (Jeremy) Barton, Zeb Booker, James (Jessica) Vollmer, and Micchelle (Andy) Zeller and great grandchildren Brooks and Benton Brush, Carson and Caycee Turner, Abby Parker, Lily and Lanie Booker, Marjorie Barton, Allie, Cayley, and Ian Hollon, Madie and Brook Vollmer Raelyn and Spencer Zeller and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
