John Lyndon Green, 60, of Blackwater passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at University Hospital in Columbia.
Visitation for John will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at Lamine Church of Christ from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Weekley officiating. Burial will follow in Old Lamine Cemetery.
John Lyndon Green was born July 15, 1960 the son of William Lester Green and Edna Mae (Calvert) Green. John was a good farmer and loved to hunt and fish. He loved to be on the river whether it was fishing or just being on the river. He was a member of the Lamine Church of Christ and enjoyed reading his bible. John was also an excellent writer; he wrote several western books. Most of all John loved his grandbabies and enjoyed spending time with them, watching them grow. John was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
John was preceded in death by his parents William and Edna Green, and siblings Delane Green and Susan Fenton. He is survived by his daughters Amber (Wesley) Segar of Edwards, Missouri, Ashley (Mark McGee) Green of New Franklin, Missouri, and Lacy (Shane Norton) Green of Columbia, Missouri, siblings Winfred (Donna) Green, Frank (Clara) Green, David (Marvina) Green, Steve (Lorene) Green, Joe (Lila) Green, Genevieve (Herbert) Mayes, Barbara Thurman, Mary Lou Henry, Pat (Gip) Morris, Colleen Hayes, and Carleen (Bob) Babani, and grandchildren Mira, Tucker, Sawyer, Caroline, Owen and Oaklee.
