John Lee Wilkes

John Lee Wilkes, age 58 of Prairie Home, passed away at his home on Monday, November 18, 2024. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Howard Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Church Cemetery. 

He was born on January 10, 1966, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Terry and Lois (Wichern) Wilkes. He graduated from Prairie Home High School. 

John has been employed at Lowes Home Improvement Center since 1996. 

He was an outdoorsman that loved to hunt and train bird dogs. 

John is survived by his father Terry Wilkes of Prairie Home; children Ellinor Wilkes, Rulon Wilkes; sister Lora Lesniak of California, Missouri, Alberta Wilkes of Rolla.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lois Wilkes, and brother Peter. 

Memorials in his honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
