Johnna (Dubovick) Smith

Johnna Dubovick Smith, 58, of Columbia passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 19, 2023, at her home.

Visitation for Johnna will be held at Howard Funeral Home Friday, May 26, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Johnna Smith was born August 6, 1964 in Fayette, Missouri, the daughter of John and Bessie (Shackelford) Dubovick. Johnna attended Culver Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. She married Gerald Lammers January 1984, to this union two children were born, Steven and Lori. On August 26, 2002 Johnna married Thomas Smith to this union she was blessed with another son and three bonus children. Johnna was a certified coder and notary working at the University of Missouri for several years and several nursing homes.  She enjoyed work where she had the opportunity to help people. Johnna’s favorite times were time spent with her grandchildren and sisters, her last day was spent at the park with her granddaughter. Her loving personality will be forever missed.

Johnna is preceded in death by her parents John and Bessie Dubovick. She is survived by her husband Thomas Smith, sons Steven Lammers, Bryan Smith, Jacob, Adam, and Jared Smith, daughter Lori Lammers-Schoenhals, brothers Pete and Stan LaBoube and John M. Dubovick, sisters Olytha Rowden, Raelyn LaBoube, and Mary Lou Hurt. She also leaves behind grandchildren Ian, Braden, Myles, and Evelyn Lammers, Riker and Ronon Schoenhals, Emily, Janae, Anastasia, Isis, Casper, Cyrus, and Zypheria Smith, and nephews Michael and Chris Rowden and Chance and Tyler LaBoube.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
