Joseph Antony Fahrendorf, 94, of Boonville passed away July 28, 2021, at Ashley Manor Care Center in Boonville.
A graveside service will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Martins Cemetery in Martinsville.
Joseph Antony Fahrendorf was born March 31, 1927, the son of Barney and Rose (Fanken) Fahrendorf. Joseph married Mary Stayton May 25, 1957, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They have been married 64 years and lived in Boonville. He worked at Boben and Heel factory, Kemper military school, and the county road department. Joseph loved to garden and was know for his large meticulous garden; he also grew fruit trees. He enjoyed mowing the yard and going fishing. Joseph was a simple man; he will be dearly missed.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Barney and Rose Fahrendorf, brothers Frank, John, and Aloysious Fahrendorf, and sisters Louise Miller, Emma Twenter, and Marie Kauffman. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary Ellen Fahrendorf who resides at Ashley Manor in Boonville, brother Ed Fahrendorf of Blackwater, sister-in-law Linda (Paul) Thurman of Columbia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
