Joseph “Joe” Henry Koller, 82 of Boonville passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Harry S. Truman Veteran Hospital in Columbia.
Visitation for Joe will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mark Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Joseph Henry Koller was born March 11, 1939, in Lucan, Minnesota the son of Henry and Mary (Vogl) Koller. Joe graduated from Rock Rapids High School in Iowa in 1957. He married the love of his life Loretta Dupuis May 1, 1965, in Hinkley, MN. Joe never met a stranger and would talk or debate anyone. He was one of the coffee club guys that would meet at McDonalds and solve world problems on cup of coffee at a time. Joe also enjoyed gardening and going to the lake to go boating. He would also go for trips around his neighborhood on the golf cart with his beloved dog Sammy. Joe was one of a kind and will be so dearly missed.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Koller, parents, Henry and Mary Koller, brother Gilbert Koller and grandchildren, Maddie and London. He is survived by his son, Scott Koller and wife Sharla of Lone Jack, MO., daughter, Heidi Twenter and husband Danny of Pilot Grove, MO, sisters Joan Collins and Liz Mulkerin. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Zachary Twenter, Lance (Kendra) Twenter, LeeAnn (John) Giguere, Joshua Ayres, Jared (Colby) Ayres, Chance Ayres and ten great-grandchildren.
