Julia “Judy” Katherine (Bieber) Shields, 82, of Boonville passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at Hartmann Village in Boonville.
A celebration of life for Judy will be held at Howard Funeral Home Saturday, October 30, 2021, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Julia Katherine (Bieber) Shields was born September 19, 1939, in Boonville, the daughter of Harold and Iris (Emmel) Bieber. Judy loved history and served as the director of the historical society for the Friends of Historic Boonville for many years. She also worked at C & R Super Market and Lucky’s Eagle Stop gas station. Judy was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution for 64 years, she joined the Hannah Cole Chapter in 1957. Judy also enjoyed being with friends, boating at the Lake of the Ozarks and listing to music. She always had a fun, joyful but stern personality that everyone loved, she will be dearly missed.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Iris Bieber, husbands Chad Hennenfent and Bill Shields and sister-in-law Letha Bieber. She is survived by her sons Gregory (Mary) Hennenfent, and Timothy Shields, brother Michael Bieber, grandchildren Samantha (Tim) Freise, niece Cassandra (Wayne) Juliano, and nephew Matthew (Cristina) Bieber.
