Karen Marie (Brady) Burke

Karen Marie (Brady) Burke, 61 formerly of Boonville, passed away peacefully at her home in Trussville, Alabama Tuesday, May 25, 2021 surrounded by family.

Celebration of Karen’s life will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 5 at Howard Funeral Home, with visitation an hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.

Mrs. Burke was born December 2, 1959 in Cheboygan, MI., the daughter of LeRoy L. Brady and Kathleen P. Klein. She married Robert James Burke on December 29, 1980 in Fayette, MO. She owned & operated Burke’s Coin & Jewelry located in Boonville, Missouri for 15+ years.  Many young men of Boonville & surrounding areas may affectionately remember her for haggling over baseball cards.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, (especially her rose garden); watching her granddaughters grow up, being involved with their sports & activities.  Eating out at a nice restaurant while enjoying a bottle of red wine with loved ones. 

Karen is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert James Burke.  Father, Leroy Brady of New Franklin, MO. 

Karen is survived by her mother, Kathleen Brady of New Franklin, MO.   Two brothers: Randy (Michelle) Brady of Las Cruces, New Mexico.  Danny (Susan) Brady of Fayette, MO.  Daughter, Amber Burke-Pendarvis and two granddaughters, Kailey Walters & Jessica Walters also of Trussville, AL.  Nephews: James Brady of Las Cruces, N.M., Austin Brady of Columbia, MO.  Nieces:  Amanda & Maria Brady of Las Cruces, N.M.  Linsey Brady of Fayette, MO.
