Karen Ann (Warmbrodt) Mehrhoff

Karen Ann Mehrhoff, 80, of Prairie Home passed away surrounded by her family Monday, August 21, 2023.

Graveside service for Karen will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery Saturday, August 26, 2023, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Per Karen’s request, everyone please dress casually.

Karen Ann Mehrhoff was born March 31, 1943, the daughter of Frank Warmbrodt Sr. and Blanche Johnson Warmbrodt. Karen married Harold Mehrhoff Jr. “JR” October 18, 1958. They lived on their farm in Prairie Home, Missouri where Karen spent each day tending to her garden, yard, and flowers. Karen loved the outdoors and enjoyed growing and canning most of the food served. Winter months were filled with knitting, making Christmas ornaments, baking goodies, and Christmas gifts beautifully wrapped under her perfect tree.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, husband H. Mehrhoff Jr. and sisters Janet Bennett and Jane Washburn. She is survived by her daughter Jayna (Pat) Brady of Boonville, brother Frank (Daisy) Warmbrodt of Wooldridge, and brother-in-law Robert Washburn of Kansas City. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Kimberly (Charity) Brady, Nicole (Myron) Sharp and Kayla (Logan) Ray, and great grandchildren Kamden and Kade Ray, Logan Root, Ondreis, Deyshon, and Kaylin Sharp, and Ryder, Greyson, Zayne, Hope and Faith Mesik and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
