Kathryn B (Haley) Schupp

Kathryn B. (Haley) Schupp, age 94, died at Katy Manor, Pilot Grove, on February 26, 2021.

Visitation for Kathryn will be at Howard Funeral Home Monday, March 1, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Graveside will follow visitation in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Pilot Grove with Pastor Jim Elliott officiating.

Kathryn was born in Speed, Missouri, March 4, 1926, to Leslie and Katie Haley. She graduated from Pilot Grove High School in 1944 and began her nurses training at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Boonville, where she graduated in 1947 as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps. Her nursing career included St. Joseph Hospital and Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville.

She married Marvin Schupp, on October 12, 1947, and they resided on the family farm outside of Pilot Grove. Her interest included, antiquing, gardening, and sewing. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Pilot Grove.

She is survived by two children, Nancy (Wilbert) Meyer and Shirley Schupp; one sister, Dorothy Ries; two grandchildren Melinda (Rodney) Richardson and Austin Edwards. One great- grandson Blake Richardson.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin, one sister Mary Ellen Barron, One brother, Marshall Ray Haley.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Katy Manor, Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, or St. Paul’s Cemetery.
