Kimberly Jane (Hendrix) Green

Kimberly Jane Green, 55, of Blackwater passed away Wednesday December 27, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Visitation for Kimberly will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m. on Tuesday January 2, 2024, at Howard Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin following the visitation. Burial will be in the Boonesboro Cemetery.

Kimberly Jane Green was born March 30, 1968 the daughter of Shelby Douglas Hendrix and Wanda Mae Allen Hendrix. She graduated from Boonville high school in 1986, then attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO., and Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO. She obtained her master’s degree from Lindenwood University. She married Rick Green on June 3, 1989, in Blackwater at the Federated Church. Kimberly was a lifelong school teacher of young kids, she taught at Slater for three years and Hardeman elementary School for 29 years. She loved to shop for antiques and was a wonderful cook. Most of all she loved being the best mom, mimi, and wife her family could ever ask for.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Shelby, and Wanda. She ss survived by her husband Rick of the home, Son, Colten Lee (Leah) Green of Blackwater, MO., daughter, Katie Marie (Blayne) Vogel of Marshall, MO. and brother, Shelby Dee (Christy) Hendrix of Blackwater, MO. She will be missed by her nieces, Lilli, Georgia, and Anna Hendrix. Mimi will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Ellie Jane and Bowen Edward Vogel and baby Green that will be arriving in July. She will be missed by all her former students and friends she has made over the years.
