Larry Balke Obituary

Larry D. Balke was born January 30, 1943 and passed away in his home January 24, 2021 in Boonville. He was preceded in death by his wife Merna Balke last year. Surviving is a son Brain Balke of Moscow Mills, MO, daughter Michelle Balke of Farnhamville, IA, his mother Geraldine Balke of Ft. Dodge, IA, sister Carolyn (Stan) Rogers of Warsaw, MO and Cindy Elliott of Ft. Dodge,IA, brothers Roger (Lucy) Balke of Ft. Dodge, IA, and Stan (Francie) Balke of Eldon, MO, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Larry was a Navy vet and belonged to the American Legion. He liked fish, golf, watch sports (especially the Cardinals), and bowled on a league before he retired. He loved tinkering with cars and was a mechanic all his adult life.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
