Leona Marie (Thompson) Zaugg

Leona Marie Zaugg 91 of Ottawa, KS, formerly of Boonville Mo, died October 5, 2021 at Parkview Heights Garnett, KS. A graveside service will be held October 16 2021 at 11:00 a.m. St. Johns United Church, Billingsville Mo.

Leona was born on October 26, 1929, to Adam and Leona (Hampton) Thompson. She married Wilbur Zaugg on March 19, 1949, and together they had 3 children, Danny Zaugg, Kenny Zaugg his wife Sue, and Juanita Brecht her husband Kenneth, 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren with one on the way.

She is survived by her 3 children, a brother Jarrett Thompson and wife Johnnie, a sister Alene Miller and her husband Jr. sister-in-law Gertrude Powell and many nieces and nephews.

Proceed in death by her husband, parents, sister (June), and a nephew Louis.
