Leslie A. Kahle

Leslie A. Kahle, 62, of Boonville, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 30, 2021 in his home.

Les Kahle was born on January 24, 1959 in Sumter, SC, the son of Glenn and Maurine Kahle. He spent most of his childhood in Iowa and Illinois. Les graduated high school from United Township in East Moline, Il. From there he went to the University of Iowa, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting. While in Iowa City, Les started working for the McDonalds Corporation. Post-graduation he continued with them for many years, managing a restaurant, then overseeing the opening and managing of a second one. Les then moved to Boonville and began farming with his father Glenn and brother Kevin on the family farms.

When Les was not out farming or working to improve the farms, he enjoyed watching college and professional sports, especially the Hawkeyes, Nascar and Indy Car racing. Being with family on holidays, notable events, and numerous vacations brought Les a lot of joy over the years. He will be greatly missed by his family and all that got to know him.

Les is survived by his brothers, Norman and wife Renee Kahle of East Moline, IL and Kevin Kahle of Boonville, MO; one niece, Kaitlyn Kahle of Arlington, TX; and two nephews, Evan Kahle of Columbia, MO and Nathan Kahle of East Moline, IL.  

Preceding Les in death were his parents Glenn and Maurine Kahle.

Visitation for Les will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Clarks Fork Trinity Lutheran Church from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Weisenborn officiating.
