Lois M. Shaw, 89, of Boonville passed away Thursday evening April 7, 2022, at Riverdell Care Center.
Visitation for Lois will be 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 13th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with a funeral service following at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Lois Maxine Shaw was born November 19, 1932, in Boonville, MO., the daughter of Harry Hein and Golda Carey Hein. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed March 30, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church, Lone Elm. The family moved their membership to Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1949, where she remained a member until her death. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1950 and from Kidwell School of Cosmetology in 1964. She married Eugene (Rusty) Shaw June 20, 1953, and they were the parents of one daughter, Gwen.
She was secretary for the Boonville Public Schools for 40 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Immanuel’s Choir and Lutheran’s Women’s Missionary League where she served as Secretary for several years. Lois loved to sew, quilt, crochet and crafting.
Lois’s family and friends would like to thank Dr. Robert Koch, Riverdell Care Center and Hometown Hospice for their excellent care for her.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Golda, husband Rusty and daughter, Gwen.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Coyote Hill Christian Children’s Home or the Bob Blankenbaker Scholarship Fund where she served on the Board of Directors during its formation.
