Lucille Emma Stone, 92, of Boonville passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at Riverdell Care Center.
A rosary for Lucille will be recited at 9:45 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Thursday, June 16, 2022. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Derek Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Clifton City.
Lucille Emma Stone was born June 8, 1930, in Clear Creek, Missouri to Raymond and Ida (Newman) Kempf. She graduated from Pilot Grove High School. Lucille married Lester John “Bud” Stone October 22, 1949. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sedalia and retired from bookkeeping at Sacred Heart School. Lucille also volunteered with the Bothwell Auxiliary helping throughout the hospital. Lucille enjoyed playing cards, cooking, sewing and being with her family. Family was most important to Lucille, her loving, caring nature will be forever missed.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Ida Kempf, husband Lester Stone, daughter Karen Stone, brothers Virgil (Betty) Kempf, and Donald Kempf, sisters Katie (Cyril) Wessing, and Agnes (Billy) Rude, brother-in-law Ray McKerlie, and grandsons Jamie Fay and Adam Struble. She is survived by son John (Reva) Stone of Sedalia, MO, daughters Linda (Read) Fay of Vancouver, WA, and Marcia (William) Ingraham of Sedalia, MO, sisters Jeanette (Dennis) Crump, and Judy McKerlie, and sister-in-law Ginny Kempf. She also leaves behind grandchildren Kristopher and Danny Fay, Justin, Jason, and John Stone, Margot Hyder, Marlo Willadsen, and MacKensie Struble- Tompkins, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the National MS Society.
