Madison Ericka Walker

Early Sunday, January 1st, 2023, Madison Ericka Walker passed away at the age of 21. Maddi, formerly of Boonville, MO, resided in Kentucky for the past year and a half. Madison was born to Milisa Walker and John Andrews in March 2001. In 2011 Madison was adopted by her father, John Walker. Madison also gained a stepmother, Nicole Walker, in 2021. Madison attended Boonville High School and proudly walked across the stage for graduation in 2019.

Madison was often the brightest light in the room. She loved her people and loved them hard. Those who knew her were certainly touched by the love she poured out. Madison loved children and from a young age was always called a “mother hen”. She would always want to babysit, volunteer in nursery, or spend time with her younger cousins. Madison had the biggest heart for animals and would happily take in any animal she came across. Madison deeply enjoyed music, as she participated in her high school choirs and sang praise music with her sister at home. She always had a song on her heart. Anyone who knows her knows how much she loved her papa; she will always be “papa’s girl”.

Madison is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Jones, grandfathers, Dennis Drahn and Mike Walker. She is survived by her mother, Milisa Walker, father, John Walker, stepmother, Nicole Walker, brother, Ethan Gunderson, twin sister, Kennedy Walker, stepbrother Avery Lauer, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many beloved friends.

A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at Open Bible Praise Center, 16991 Hwy 87, Boonville, MO 65233. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am with the memorial service immediately following. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Boonville Choir Boosters, Columbia Second Chance, or Open Bible Praise Center.
